SimpleAPI by Navtilus is an app that provides easy access to table data from Business Central. To make integration as seamless as possible, the app offers integration with Excel, a custom Power BI connector, a Power Platform solution generator, and an API description for other integrations.

The app simplifies the development of solutions on the Power Platform, including support for flowfields. SimpleAPI works with both On-Premises and SaaS environments, making cloud migration straightforward—the only changes required are to the link and authentication method.

With Navtilus SimpleAPI, you get a user-friendly plug-and-play solution that makes data extraction simple and quick. This Business Central extension features an accessible module that enables you to create API connections without advanced technical knowledge.

The extension allows you to select exactly the table from Business Central you want to extract data from and choose multiple fields at once from the same table. At the same time, you maintain full control over your data by adding filters to your fields, making it easy to sort and select specific data as needed.

How do you use the extension?

Once the app is installed, you can go to the search bar (Alt + Q) and search for “Notification Configuration.” Here, you’ll find a list of notifications you can modify. At the top of the page, there are three filters you can use to set rules for the number, timeframe, and time period of the notifications. You can then choose the status for each notification.

In the status section, you can also click on the three dots, which will take you to a new list with an overview of the users in your Business Central. From there, you can check the users who should receive the notifications and uncheck those who should not.

How do I get the application?

The extension is available on AppSource, allowing businesses using Business Central in the cloud to easily and quickly download and start using it right away by clicking here here.

The extension is based on one module in Business Central that helps you select and filter precisely the data you want to extract from various tables.

This module serves as the foundation of the extension, allowing you to choose the specific table you want to work with in Business Central.

Fields
Once you’ve selected a table in “SimpleAPI Setup,” you can click “Add Fields,” which opens a list of fields. Here, you can select one or more fields you wish to export from the chosen table.
